2016 Art Show Review

The 6th Annual Art Show at the Lynden Library was wonderful.  262 people were counted coming through the door.  That number was truly all here for the show because the library was closed during our party time, 6:30pm-8pm.  There were 61 entries of art spread out onto the walls of the library.  We have a great library that supports kids, art, learning and creativity.

The artists checked into the front meeting room, signed into the info table.

They got their to do list, name tag on and they are ready.

In the hallway they are greeted by the Mona Lisa.

List of ribbon winners on the door.  Our wonderful Judge, Cindy Bell, Lynden Middle School art teacher did a fantastic job.  It is very hard to be a judge.

This was a drawing for $25 gift certificate towards art classes.  The winner was Abby Small!
Congratulations Abby!

Around the corner here, students picked up their certificate.

Lots of room to visit and meet the artists.

Cookies are starting to trickle in from my awesome art parents!

Photos of art class fun, and pictures of each student that participated in class this past year.

Karah Clover was my featured artist and this was how her artwork was set up.  Her works of art were made with either watercolor or pencil.  God has gifted her with an amazing talent for faces and horses.

Celebrating her graduating high school this year too!
This picture is of her dad.

It was too busy a night to get pictures of everyone, but that is the pictures that Karah and I got last night.  (and a few from my sister).
Thanks to all the parents who brought cookies, to my mom, sister, friend Melinda, Karah, and my husband for helping set up and take down the artist reception!
A big thanks to Tina Bixby and the library staff for letting us use their facility all week and letting us have a party after hours!  Tina appreciates art and it looks so beautiful in the library all week.
Thanks to Karah, Ryleigh and Alyssa for helping me put the art up last Saturday!
