December 2012

Merry Christmas 2012!

We had a great month here at the studio in the month of December.

We all worked on various images on Scratch paper.
Here is a bald eagle by artist, David age 12

We worked on paper quilling.
Here is a wreath done by artist, Karah, age 14

An elf visited the studio yesterday and gave me a candy cane,
one of the 4 food groups of elves.  Ha!  She looked pretty darn cute.
It made all the kids smile.

We all made a stamp.  There were various images made the with stamps.
This is  just some of the wonderful stamps that were made this month!

My assistant, Karah Clover is a wonderful artsit herself and she is also a great writer!  I took a picture of her poems that she drew pictures on and wanted to send them to you, but the words don't show up.  I will have to show them a little better to you at a later date, but at least you can see her awesome artwork.  Way to go, Karah!!! You are a blessing to me and the kids.  So glad God is  using you right where you are at.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

As, I sit here relaxing now, as the turkey is in the oven and I await family to arrive for dinner, I am reminded of all I have to be thankful for.  I am thankful for shelter, food, clothing; all the necessities of life.   But, what I find myself most thankful for is people.  The people in my life who join with me in the daily activities .  Whether it be by phone call or in person, I am thankful for all the relationships that keep me going who give me encouragement and friendship as we share the ins and outs of life.    I try to encourage and give my care in return.

Here are some faces that I am so very thankful for; my art students.  No matter how I am feeling that day, when one of my art students walk in the door, my face lights up.  I just love what I do.   I couldn't imagine doing anything else now!

November was watercolor month.  We accomplished a lot by doing three projects!
Here is one of the projects: SELF PORTRAITs.
