Art School year starting

Ready or Not.....Here comes the school year!

Well, here we are, the first week of art class starts THIS WEEK! September 3-6.  
This school year, we will meet 3 times a month and work on a different art project each month.   It is a lot of fun and educational too!  We will be going over the elements of art and studying a famous artist each month as well.  I teach ages 5-18 and I have some spots left.  Check out my art classes/times page. To sign up for a class email or call; there is still time!

Preview for this month is that we will be working with Scratch Art!  October we will be working with Clay.   For a full list of class projects each month, you will need to email me for that info.

Class calendar and Openings in classes

Update: 

Calendar:   I have the class calendar ready!  It states what we are doing each month and what dates of the month we are meeting.  Please email me at brendac2126@hotmail.com for a copy or you may get your copy on the first day of class.


Openings:  I currently still have openings in the
Wed 4pm 10-18yr class,
Thursday 4pm 5-12yr class and
Saturday 9:30am 5-10yr and
Saturday 11am 10-18 class.

This is for the Sept 2014-May 2015 school year.

Summer Art Camp recap

 Camp A  July 14-17  10a-12noon.  They are displaying their window art that they will take and put on their windows at home.  Great job!  (art assistant __ Sierra)

Camp B July 14-17  1:30pm-3:30pm.   They are displaying their window art.  Great variety of artwork!  (art assistant _Ellsie)

 

Camp C   July 21-24  10:00am-12noon.   It rained this week; you never know in the Pacific NW.   (art assistant __Rosalyn)

 

Here is Camp C showing off their Palm Tree Sunset picture.  Beautiful work!

Also, their paper mache boxes are on the tables getting painted.  Super fun.

 

 We made pictures on paper and then mailed them off to the Makit Plate Company and they mailed us back our pictures on a plate! It was like Christmas opening up the box of plates.  What a fun thing they will treasure forever.  I liked seeing what it was they were going to draw a picture of.

We also played with Bendaroos(wax sticks) in Creation Station time when they were done with a project before the other classmates.  This lovely girl made a hamburger with her bendaroos!  =)

 

All Summer art students:  Come pick up your plates this weekend Sat/Sun/Mon 8/2-8/4 any time from 8a-8pm.

New class added in the fall!

Good news: there will be one more class in the school year!

Here is what the schedule looks like now for the upcoming school year:

Changes: I added the Thursday 1pm class, and made the Thursday 4pm class up to 12yrs of age.  My same group of Thursday 4pm people are getting a little bit older and I want to keep them for another year!  =)   Then they will have to move to the Wednesday 4pm or Saturday 11a for the older classes.

Go ahead and give me this info via email or print out the form and mail it and I will put your artist on the class list.   If it is full, I will let you know ASAP.  I am in full art class planning mode now! =)
