The Family Pet

In the month of December, here at Art with B. Calvert, we painted our pets!  If the student did not have a pet, they painted a picture of an animal they wished they could have.  It was a real joy to see everyone's pet pictures!  It made for some great conversation in the art room.

The students learned watercolor techniques and had a great time.

Everyone received a matt to put around their finished picture. Due to the variety of class sizes, I was only able to put some on during the class time. Others had to take home and affix to their matt.  What a nice keepsake to put on the wall.

Have a Merry Christmas!

There is 3 weeks off of art classes and so I will see you all

Jan 8-11!

Much love to you and your family,

Brenda Calvert

Dr. Seuss Bulletin Board

I updated my kids school bulletin board today.  The idea came from when I saw the line from Dr. Seuss, Oh' the places you'll go and the people you'll meet, when you travel along the _____________Street.  Then, I thought how cute to have the hallways of our school a street!  Awesome!  I homeschool 3 days a week and they go to a community school 2 times a week.  It is a wonderful school, we love it.
