Pop Art    March 2012

Students in my 9 different art classes in March did Pop Art in Acrylic paint.  Students were instructed to draw 4 pictures all the same, but paint them different colors.  We had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed seeing what came out of our March classes!

Students art displayed at the Library!

Be sure to go to the library this month and check out the display in the foyer of the Lynden Library!

The six winners from the design a AD contest are featured. 

It is on your left as you walk in the front doors.

Remember: at the end of May, ALL my students will hold an art show and your art will be featured at the Lynden Library!  We hold a reception where parents, aunts, uncles, friends and grandparents come and check out the art and can meet the artists!  It is a lot of fun and I look forward to that.

We are in the middle of February and it is drawing month!  LOVE all the beautiful drawings last week!  This past week we drew a tricycle and the figure, I wonder what will be next?

Aidan did a fabulous tricycle!

I slipped in there and drew a few people when I could!  It is good practice!

Ethan did a great figure drawing! 

There were some amazing art that came out of this weeks classes. I wish I had the time to post them all.  Thanks for all your efforts students! It paid off!  =)

Merry Christmas 2011

I wish I could have shown all of the beautiful artwork that came out of December classes, but it simply takes too long to load onto this blog.  One picture takes 5 minutes to download.  Yikes!

 I was so pleased with how all the baby Jesus pictures turned out

 and the snowboarder pictures turned out for pastel month.  

 You all make me so proud!

I wanted to be sure and send a very Merry Christmas to all of my students and their parents! 

I hope you all had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends. 

We had a blessed Christmas here, our big gift this year, was getting a new puppy, Jasmine.

She is an adorable 8week old black lab.  The kids are having fun with her.  She is a lot of work as we expected, but she is worth the trouble!  =)  She will not be allowed to go into the art room.  She has a crate in the backroom and if my art students aren't allergic, I will let them see the puppy after art class is done on the first art class day in January. 

Speaking of January,  class starts Jan 4-7,

Wednesday through Saturday. 

 Art medium is Watercolor!   

We will be exploring the deep sea as we go underwater!

We meet the first 3 weeks of the month. Once a week. Price per person is $36.  I do offer sibling discounts if two or more siblings are attending the class.  Also, if there is just one student in the family that attends art class, there is a discount for paying 3 months at a time.  All payments are non-refundable.

Amazing things happened in Scratch Art this week!  Take a look!

October Art Class

The winner of the penny drive is……………………………..the girls!  It was a tight race and the girls won by only $4.61.    The overall total donated was a little over $131.  Great job kids!  Rewards were given in candy on the last class day of October.

The African animals featured this month are my Friday and Saturday classes.  All of the African animals are quite amazing and I am so proud of every child’s effort.  Great job; beautiful work!

Get ready as we get into Scratch art in November.  November is one class only the week of Nov 2-5.  It is $12 and there are no sibling discounts this month.  It will be a lot of fun!!!!!!!!  Don't miss out!
