Dear Art Families,
Let me highlight some things on the calendar.
In yellow
are the dates we are meeting each month.
In case this is your first time with us, we meet three times a
month. So, this calendar is necessary
so that you don’t arrive on an off week.
Or worse, drop your child off and I’m not here! (that has happened more
than once!)
In Blue
are the make-up class dates. In case you
miss one of my classes, you may come on Monday at 7pm-8pm, once a month to make
up the missed class.
Commitment: You must commit to 3 month blocks of time
when signing up. September-November and
January-March are the same classes.
April and May are different mediums-watercolor and clay and require a
2-month commitment.
Advanced: The only class that I have all year round
from Sept-May are the 11am Saturday class, 10-18 yr. olds. We will be working on something different
each month.
In December
there are no regular classes. I will be
hosting a ladies’ art class, 2 nights only in my art studio. We will be drawing a winter scene with pencil
on quality drawing paper and shading with graphite and blending sticks. Invite
your friends! I’m taking sign-ups via
email and you will get a confirmation email back from me that your signed
up. I will also have my art home décor
and cards out for purchase if you’d like.

Artist reception
at the Lynden Library will be, Friday, March 31. Students that have participated in a class
anytime from Sept-March are eligible to enter 1 piece of art. It stays up in the library from March
25-April 1. Ribbons are given after the
art is judged in age category.
Not on the calendar, but necessary to discuss:
Tuition is
due on the first class day of every month.
There are no discounts this year, so everybody pays the same amount; $40
a month. You do not get your money back
if you miss a class. If I cancel a
class, I will reschedule it so that you do not miss out on finishing your
project.
I accept and prefer
Cash or Check, but also take Credit Cards outside of class time.
Bring with you;
Sketchbooks are required and are now the responsibility of the student. I am not providing sketchbooks any more. I love writing on the back side of the
pictures my students draw and encouraging them.
First day of class, you do not need to have a picture drawn. Any size sketchbook ranging from 4x6-8.5 x 11
is good. I’ve also had students bring in
three ring binders, with their art all neat and tidy in sheet protectors. This is a great idea too.
Directions:
1803 Kok Rd, Lynden, WA 98264. We are
right across the street from the horse barn of the Fairgrounds. Take the gravel driveway to the back of the
house, as the studio is in the daylight basement in back. Park in the back of the house or in the field
next door.
